An exclusive tour between works and flavors.

Live the complete experience with a private tour of the Hortensia Herrero Art Center and a tasting led by Guillaume Glories, sommelier at the Entrevins restaurant.

Each of the five selected wines has been specially paired with a representative artwork, creating a fusion between the palate and the gaze. With each wine, there will be an appetizer specially designed to enhance the experience. As we move through the facilities, the flavors and aromas of each wine will complement the emotions and colors of the pieces, offering a new way to experience art. We invite you to enjoy this fusion of contemporary art and oenology.

1. MAGNUM CHAMPAGNE MAISONCELLE RP DE DEHOURS – PAIRING WITH JUAN GENOVÉS

The winemaker Jerome Dehours is a pioneer of the 90s generation, who revolutionized the Champagne world by changing the course towards respectful viticulture, accompanied by a very affectionate cellar work that respects the identity of the terroirs where the grapes are grown. Maisoncelle R.P. comes from a vineyard of old Pinot Noir vines, interestingly oriented northeast, on clayey, limy, and iron-rich soil. Aging takes place in oak casks with the lees and is kept for 3 years in rest. This solera started in 2013 delivers a golden wine with a very powerful aroma.

Appetizer: Cantabrian anchovy toast with miso butter

2. MAGNUM CHABLIS GRAND CRU LA MOUTONNE 2016 LONG DEPAQUIT – PAIRING WITH DAVID HOCKNEY

La Moutonne is a Grand Cru parcel considered secret or unofficial, with roots dating back to the French Revolution. The vineyard is very small, 2.35 hectares of Chardonnay vines that form an amphitheater with a southeast orientation and a steep slope that can reach 40 degrees, protecting it from cold northern winds. It is nestled between two other Grand Crus, Vaudésir and les Preuses. The soil is a Kimmeridgian limestone with marine shell fossils. The aromatic style is defined by the typical Chardonnay aromas (roasted apple, toasted sesame) with a balanced structure, a high point of maturity, and concentration. A great purity from a unique Grand Cru terroir.

Appetizer: Leek and coconut cream

3. MAGNUM FONT DE LA FIGUERA FORADÀ 2023 BY JAVI REVERT – PAIRING WITH ELENA DEL RIVERO

In ancient terraces, abandoned for half a century, at the highest point, 800 meters above Font de la Figuera, the renowned winemaker Javi Revert, originally from the same town, replanted a 2.5-hectare plot with a northern orientation in 2018 with the Arco and Garnacha varieties. The result is a bright, nervous, delicate, complex red wine deeply marked by the Mediterranean character. Blind-tasted by me in January 2025, in a demijohn where the wine is still resting, this nectar’s nose is pure fragrance: fresh forest strawberries, saffron threads, fresh white flowers, aromatic plants from the surroundings… a wine that will mark a turning point in the Valencian and Spanish Mediterranean landscape. Don’t miss the chance to taste this wine in advance, in a magnum bottle specially bottled for this magical evening.

Appetizer: Ham croquette

4. MAGNUM RIOJA RODA I RESERVA 1994 – PAIRING WITH OLAFUR ELIASSON

The Roda project is considered a classic within the young generation of the 80s, located in the historic Haro Station district in Rioja. Master winemaker Agustín Santolaya is its technical director and driving force; he summarizes Rioja as the northern part of a vast depression formed by the Ebro River, surrounded by higher altitudes. Inside, the river courses running from south to north and vice versa form hills, terraces, and glacis that create different exposures and influence the climate interplay. We will taste a legendary wine, the Roda I 1994 in magnum format. The distinction between Roda I and Roda Reserva is based on blind tasting of the 17 French oak casks, each made with grapes from 17 different vineyards. The label leads us to expect an aromatic style based on black fruit; let’s hope we agree.

Appetizer: Ibérico ham carpaccio with sweet and sour glaze

5. MAGNUM ALICANTE LA DIVA 2021 BY GUTIÉRREZ DE LA VEGA – PAIRING WITH MAT COLLISHAW

A family winery of the second generation, a reference of the Marina Alta in the Alicante coast. They have unique vineyards amidst numerous mountains and valleys, with a dry-stone terracing system passed down through generations of farmers and herders. This naturally sweet wine is made with Moscatel Romano (harvested in raisin state) from 50-year-old vines on clay-limestone soil with pebbles. Typically marketed in half bottles (less than 600 bottles), it has been exclusively bottled for us in 8 magnums. It is perhaps the best sweet wine in Spain that I have tasted in recent years. I will refrain from making any tasting comments about this magnificent wine, other than quoting its creator: “A Mediterranean wine capable of making the most unhappy of mortals happy and serving as an excuse to talk about the great themes of life.”

Appetizer: Brioche toast with Fourme d’Ambert
